Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how TickM (“we”, “our”, or “us”) collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use our services.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, such as when you create an account, select a plan, or contact us for support. This includes your name, email address, password, and payment information. We also collect time tracking data that you enter into TickM — including time entries, project names, client names, task keys, and descriptions.

We automatically collect certain usage data when you interact with our service, including IP addresses, browser type, device information, and pages visited. This is used to maintain and improve the service.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve our services; process transactions and send related information including purchase confirmations and invoices; send technical notices, security alerts, and support messages; respond to your comments and questions; and monitor and analyse trends and usage.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

3. Sharing of Information

We may share your information with third-party vendors and service providers that perform services on our behalf, such as payment processing (Stripe), cloud hosting, and analytics. These providers are bound by contractual obligations to keep personal information confidential.

We may disclose your information if we believe disclosure is in accordance with, or required by, any applicable law or legal process.

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal information within 90 days, unless we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory purposes.

5. Security

We take reasonable measures to help protect your personal data from loss, theft, misuse, and unauthorised access. All data is encrypted in transit using TLS. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plaintext. Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe and is never stored on TickM servers.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or delete the information we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at hello@tickm.com.

7. Cookies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate and improve our service, including authentication cookies to keep you logged in and analytics cookies to understand usage patterns. You can control cookie settings in your browser, though disabling certain cookies may affect functionality.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page and, where appropriate, by email. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
